Papavar - Hybrid Poppy Study (about 2 hrs) | July 2021
100% Digital - Ipad Pro/ProCreate. Digital Watercolor brushes and paper texture used in this piece were created by MaxPack for ProCreate 5.
Digital painting was based on reference photos I took of a hybrid poppy flower in our garden. The color was so unusual I wanted to capture it’s dark-hue vibrance.

Recipe Cards

One of my favorite pastimes is baking and felt it was only natural to create a series of Recipe Cards for my online shop and wholesale. Created entirely digitally using Ipad Pro and ProCreate, I enjoy capturing the look of traditional watercolors digitally for this project.

Personal Project - Traditional acryla gouache painting.
Edited and simplified for products like diecut stickers and fine art prints. I love to take a very busy traditional painting and pare it down the key elements digitally. Sometime this involves finding (or creating) digital brushes to mimic traditional paint and redrawing elements for symmetry and balance.

Missing Link Concept art (digital) and final painting (traditional). Working digitally for concept approvals and value studies is a large part of the process when working on projects. Love being able to move elements around before ever bringing brush to paint in the final traditionally painted product.

Created this project to celebrate my love for libraries and woodland creatures. Type and original character/environment design by Nicole Gustafsson. Prints and screenprinted tote bag product design for my online store. Digital (ProCreate)
